This year I find that who is in government isn't as important as how the government is looking after us - the voters - in this season of uncertainty and economic difficulty. I would like to believe the government is aware of the needs of the people and has a handle on how to best assist us. I can see the eye rolling now. Throwing money at a problem won't make it go away - encouraging independence on government handouts won't encourage growth, independence and success. And the government isn't made of money. The taxpayers can only provide so much before they find it uneconomical to work and hold their hands out too for support. The Covid-19 has a lot to answer for but it isn't the cause of the issues, it has only increased the size of the problem. And it appears the current government and the opposition are both looking to woo voters with promises they most likely won't be able to keep.
